Pattern Hair Products

So! I know this brand has been out for some time now, but I tend to be a little late on the newest ish. But I Stan Ms Tracee Ellis Ross the founder and CEO of Pattern Beauty and was ready and willing to splurge on this beautiful black owned business.

Anyways I guess this will be like… my first product review. And to say the least, I love this hair care line so far! This line is marketed for all hair types especially the curly to coilly textures

Let’s start with the shampoo because that’s what blew my mind the most. I expected that the conditioners would heavy, creamy, and the product that would impress me the most. But boy this conditioner had me hooked immediately! What I noticed instantly was that after shampooing my hair still felt hydrated. It didn't feel stripped or like it was going to instantly knot up if I didn’t get some conditioner on it stat! I always hate the way my hair feels right after shampooing and this was the first time I wasn’t left feeling that way.

Now the conditioner I have pictured is for medium curls, she also has an intensive conditioner for tight textures, as well as a heavy conditioner for the collie hair types. I tried both the medium and heavy, I loved the thickness and consistency in both formulas. The medium conditioner is definitely more suitable for me but I may go back for the heavier one as well just to switch back and forth depending on the weather (i’m in the dry ass midwest) and how my hairs behaving that week. I’m no hair guru so I really haven’t invested in too many hair lines before but even the heavy conditioner was one of the richest i’ve ever tried before. I don’t want to speak too soon but I’d be willing to bet the intensive conditioner does wonders too!

The edge control and the brush… I’m into it as well. I have just recently somewhat learned how to style my edges, and still go on Pinterest to find out how to style my baby hairs so perhaps my opinion on this portion is irrelevant!

Styling cream.. love!

The refreshing hair mist and leave-in conditioner made my hair feel really healthy the first day, then I was using both these products everyday and I could feel a lot of weight and buildup on my hair. So I should probably use those every few days, but it might be nice for hair textures that absorb moisture quickly!

Is it affordable you may ask? That’s always my first question. There are actually a lot of options on this line to work with any budget! Most of the products come in a variety of sizes with a decent price range. * Example the shampoos and conditioners come in 3oz for $9, or a 9oz for $25, or you can get the big homie at 25oz for $42. There is also a nice travel size kit that works as a starter kit to try out a few things before really splurging.

I will definitely be going back for more in the future, and even as I expand my horizons in the hair game i’m sure there more than a few products I will be incorporating into my routine for a long time to come!
